Be an integral part of a dynamic ergonomics team to conduct virtual and in-person evaluations, individual and group trainings and promotes staff and patient safety. As a team member, helps identify and implement programs and processes to reduce workplace injuries and supports organizational goals by participating on tasks forces and/or committees. Must be able to travel to other cities/Sutter Health locations as needed.Job Description:
The person selected for this role will support both the North Bay and East Bay Markets. Candidate must live a commutable distance to the Sutter locations in these areas and come on site as needed for meetings, etc.
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Human Factors/Ergonomics, Safety Sciences, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Occupational Health & Safety or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Technical and working knowledge of recognized health and safety codes or standards: OSHA, NIOSH, AGCIH, ANSI
Knowledge of process for creating/implementing an ergonomics programs.
Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to recognize and assess workplace risk factors/safety issues and make recommendations.
Ability to persuade others to recognize different points of view and to consider/accept alternative options.
Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to present information to a variety of audiences.
Organization skills and attention to details.
Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
Ability to prioritize workload to complete assignments accurately and timely
Ability to establish credibility, and to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.

Pay Range is $46.29 to $69.44 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
