Protect Your Career Search Journey
Stay vigilant, stay safe. If you encounter any recruitment activities that seem fraudulent or unconnected to Sutter Health please report them immediately.

Too good to be true?
If an offer has high pay, very flexible hours, and expects minimum hours or effort, it is a scam. Always check postings through the official Sutter postings as fraudulent posts can come from real job boards.

If an email or document, such as a job offer letter, has awkward grammar, incorrect spelling, odd formatting, or even missing or extra spaces, this is an indication it could be a scam.

Official communications
Email communications from Sutter Health will only come from @Sutterhealth.org. Any domains like @SutterhealthUS.com or @Sutterhealthusa.org are scams.

Free money offers
If you receive a check you are not expecting claiming it is from Sutter, do not deposit it. Scammers will send fake checks and ask for money back.

Never pay to apply
There is never a fee for applying. If someone asks for an application fee or a deposit for equipment, it is a scam.

Don't engage, report!
Do not respond to a suspicious message via SMS, email, or another platform. Report it to Sutter Health and the Federal Trade Commission.

Recruitment Fraud Is On The Rise
Recruitment fraud involves scammers posing as legitimate employers or recruiters to deceive job seekers. These fraudulent activities can lead to significant financial and personal losses. At Sutter Health we are committed to protecting our candidates from such scams.
Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam where criminals may offer fictitious job opportunities. This type of fraud is normally perpetrated through websites or through unsolicited e-mails claiming to be from the company. These emails request that recipients provide personal information and money to process applications for jobs that do not exist.
Sutter Health will never ask you for payment to process documents, to refer you to a third party, to process applications or visas, or otherwise ask you for money as part of the recruitment process. You should never send payments to anyone suggesting they can secure employment with Sutter Health. If you suspect you have received a fraudulent offer, please get in touch with local authorities.
