The person holding this position is jointly responsible for the clinical aspect of the delivery of Respiratory Care services for Timberlake.
Licensed by the State of California Board of Medical Quality as an RCP. AA/AS from AMS School of Respiratory Therapy or equivalent. RRT credential preferred.
1-2 years prior Respiratory Therapy experience demonstrating respiratory clinical skills in either the acute or home setting. Prior experience with respiratory equipment designed for home use desired.
Demonstrates knowledge of Respiratory Care field and ability to act as resource for Timberlake non-clinical staff.
Must be literate on PC software programs to include Excel and Word. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are also required.
Must be able to meet company productivity standards as indicated by organization and manager.
Must be able to hear, read, write and speak clearly to effectively communicate with department staff, other Sutter VNA and Hospice employees and community, and carryout essential functions.
Must be able to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others, respectively direct and reinforce staff efforts, effectively plan and organize and prioritize work, think critically to both effectively plan and organize department operations consistent with SCAH’s strategic and operating objectives and to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult supervisor.
Must be able to deal with challenging work environment with time demands and occasional conflicting priorities. Maintain a positive and professional image and demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements. Is responsible for maintaining all required licensure and certifications. At orientation and annually thereafter, must be able to meet SCAH core competencies for position and area of specialty, as appropriate. Must have reliable transportation.
