Position Overview:
The RN functions within the scope of their nursing license. This includes providing collaborative, evidence based and accurate evaluation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, screening and interventions to client base which comply with national/facility standards and within scope of licensure: Activities include performing employee, and volunteer health screenings, administering nursing care, conducting medical surveillance and follow up of employee exposures to communicable diseases, reviewing health information, analyzing data, compiling reports, participating in programs for the prevention and control of communicable diseases and promoting safe work practices and working environments. Implements program goals and policies that have been established by the medical and administrative directors. Formulates age and culturally appropriate individualized care to employee health clients. Promotes health and safety in the work place and directs/assists/supports client base in achieving optimal health and wellness. May perform functions in a team or solo setting.


Qualifications:
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor's in Nursing or related field preferred.

Experience
1 to 2 years recent experience in Employee Health or Occupational Health preferred. 3-5 years clinical nursing experience in an acute care medical setting/infection control or employee health or occupational health required. 3-5 years prior experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

Licensures and Certifications
Registered Nurse - State Licensure required. Basic Life Support Certification - Health Care Provider required. Certified Occupation Health Nurse preferred.

Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word required. Type at least 45 wpm. Demonstrated proficiency in scanning and emailing documents required. Demonstrated ability to independently practice and prioritize multiple demands in an ever changing environment required. Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to influence others required as well as the possession of strong listening skills. Demonstrated ability of public presentation skills as well as the ability to work with all levels of management or staff required. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients required. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment required. Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and adaptability to changing priorities and working with multiple clients in a required. Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex issues in a reasonable time frame required. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously or as a member of a team required.  Demonstrated ability to compare, contrast and quality check work and keen attention to detail required. Demonstrated ability to present numerical data orally and in writing or through graphics required. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify information trends and determine solutions required. Demonstrated ability to complete department specific competencies within the first 90 days of hire. Demonstrated ability to perform day-to day-Employee Health Service activities to ensure that customer priorities are met as well as regulatory and facility compliance requirements required. Ability to navigate EHS information management systems to enter medical information, perform analysis and generate reports required. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information required. Demonstrated ability to identify concerns before they become problems and to propose solutions to the concerns required. Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills required. 
Additional Requirements
Must be able to travel in and out of Northern and Central Valley and Bay Area Sutter Sites.  Flexibility in working hours required and dependent upon department workload.
