Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course
The Sutter Health ESI Course is designed for emergency department nurses who are new to the ESI Triage System, as well as experienced triage nurses looking to maintain competency or refresh their knowledge. This three-hour virtual course teaches methods and best practices to properly apply and utilize the ESI algorithm.

The two-day in-person Breastfeeding Course educates and empowers R.N.s caring for patients who are breastfeeding. Nurses will learn to implement the 10 Successful Steps to Breastfeeding outlined by the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. Staff will gain knowledge and practice skills to support breastfeeding from delivery to discharge.

The Sutter Health University Advanced Hemodynamics Course is designed for bedside staff who have a basic understanding of hemodynamics and have cared for critically ill patients for at least one year. This course will cover topics including an in-depth review of shock, a review of hemodynamics, and contrast static vs dynamic assessment using past and present hemodynamic monitoring.
