Ensures an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment for perfusion and blood salvage devices in the operating room environment. Performs autologous blood salvage for both pediatric and adult patients under the direction of the surgeon, anesthesiologist and/or perfusionist. Assembles zero balance and calibration pressure monitoring transducers used for physiologic monitoring of patients. Maintains basic anesthesia and other medical equipment.Job Description:
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience required
College or equivalent of two years with emphasis in the sciences, biology and/or mathematics. or equivalent education/experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Skilled in the use of hardware and disposable devices used by perfusionists during cardiovascular perfusion.
Knowledge of english language w/ written and verbal communication skills.
Interpersonal and customer service skills.
Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
Ability to train others.
Ability to maintain levels of inventory to assure availability.
Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be flexible and able to function independently.
Manages multiple demands in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems with equipment.

Pay Range is $26.82 to $32.18 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
