Performs all aspects of document imaging including retrieval, prepping, indexing, scanning and quality assurance. Works in conjunction with the Shared Service Center.Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: One year recent experience in an inpatient Health Information Department. A minimum of 6 months working in Health Information Management Document Imaging.
Preferred Experience: One year inpatient Medical record experience preferred. One year work experience in electronic health record environment in an inpatient hospital setting. One year work experience in document imaging. Technical skills related to computers, software applications and database maintenance. Proficient in patient identification research in the Epic System. Knowledge of Epic In basket and HIM work queues.
Technical Skills: Working and demonstrated knowledge of computers in a Window-based environment, Microsoft Outlook a Microsoft Office, Epic (Electronic Health Record) and Hyland Onbase Document Imaging System. Ability to use mouse proficiently. Ability to use keyboard proficiently. Ability to use hot key functions on keyboard. Working knowledge of HL7 error messages and Hyperlinks in an electronic environment.
Administrative Skills: Able to function in a fast paced environment. Strong analytic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of Medical Terminology and chart order.
