The new Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital (SSRRH) is located in the heart of Northern California's famous wine country, just 50 miles north of San Francisco and 30 minutes from the beautiful Pacific Coast. Providing quality health care services to the residents of Sonoma County for over 130 years, SSRRH has 118 licensed beds (84 Inpatient, 24 Outpatient & 10 Labor & Delivery) and serves a population of more than 130,000+ people. Centers of excellence include: Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Women's and Children's Services, and Level III NICU.
The Ultrasound Technologist II performs a full range of ultrasound procedures and produces quality diagnostic images. The incumbent processes films, prepares records of service performed, makes adjustments to equipment, report any malfunctioning equipment, transports patient to and from the department. The incumbent works efficiently to maintain scheduled patient appointments and unscheduled patient exams. The incumbent ensures effective communications and documentation. The incumbent works with high risk and critically ill patients. The incumbent serves neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The incumbent instructs and directs students from the Ultrasound Program at Foothill College during their clinical rotation at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa.
Graduation from an accredited Ultrasonographers Program is preferred. Associate Degree in Health Science is preferred or equivalent experience. Maintains a valid certificate from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Is CPR certified. Minimum of two years as an Ultrasound Technologist in an acute care hospital setting is desired.
