Provide administrative/clerical support to Human Resources Department located at Sutter Health hospitals in San Francisco. Greets and assists employees and visitors, via telephone or in person, on a variety of Human Resources inquiries or transactions; provides administrative support to the HR site managers and supports the day-to-day operation of the local human resources department in areas of recruiting, benefits, compensation, information systems, disability, Workers' Compensation, leaves of absence, recognition and rewards.
Travel will vary and be determined by the HR department needs.
Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws/regulations.
Knowledge of employment laws.
Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills; professional demeanor.
Demonstrates active listening skills; including excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communication.
Ability to work telephonically with other HR team members located at various sites through the region and to work with people of various cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Lawson and other computer programs and applications used to support HR Department.
Proficiency with working with spreadsheets and presentations.
Ability to process requests quickly, accurately, and consistently with general supervision.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details when verifying information and procedures.
Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions.
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted and maintain standard workflow.
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and organization in performing job responsibilities and be able to prioritize assignments, multi-task according to department needs, and adapt to an ever-changing environment and priorities.
Ability to follow established policies and procedures, including HIPAA and safety and security.
Ability to provide backup support team members and work both as an individual and team contributor.
