Position Overview:

Performs all phases of cardiac ultrasound testing, including M-Mode, two dimensional sector scan, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler color flow mapping, thereby assisting in providing clinical information to aide physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with various forms of acquired and congenital hear disease.  Performs all phases of non-invasive cardiac EKG's, treadmill stress testing, medication-induced stress testing, and transesophageal echocardiography.



Qualifications:

Education / Certification:

Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program is required. 

Must be certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) 1 year required.

Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) CPR certification required. 

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Requires adult and pediatric experience in Echocardiography.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations. Must be able to understand, read and write the English language.
