Responsible for the management and coordination of all clinical operational activities provided within the Retail Clinics located throughout the Bay Area. Working under the guidance and leadership of the Vice President of Operations, this individual works in coordination with providers and management staff with focus on achieving strategic Sutter and PAMF wide goals such as financial and budget controls to achieve affordability targets; clinical operations efficiencies; optimum patient access and superior satisfaction results; quality of service; utilization of lean operating systems and collaborative workflows. Responsible for personnel management issues such as staff competency, training and adherence to PAMF standards. Acts as a coach, mentor and problem solver in department. Encourages strong customer service values and developing effective communication with staff, reviews, and counsels and motivates staff. Works collaboratively with medical staff on patient care issues and department direction. Directs projects aimed at improving department services and PAMF goals.
- Provides management oversight and leadership to staff of nurses, medical assistants and other clinical support personnel to meet the clinical needs of patients while achieving goals to continuously meet or exceed targets. Promotes staff involvement, empowerment and accountability for meeting organizational objectives. Manages standard staffing structures to ensure optimum clinical operations and outcomes.
- Assists in development and maintenance of department budgets through weekly, monthly and annual review/& analysis process. Eliminates excess, controls overtime and reduces waste. Establishes and maintains budget controls to achieve affordability targets and provide competitive value.
- Collaborates with management to meet the goals of all department locations through the development of best practice standards across specialty lines. Conducts team and departmental huddles and meetings using tracked, transparent metrics and clinical data to plan, provide, change and actively manage to efforts that meet target maximums. Supports LEAN initiatives, tracks in-flow progress and identifies gaps that prohibit model line concept successes.
Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with current certification. DEA (PA, NP) and Furnishing License(NP) California certification.
- California licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Current DEA license required
BCLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required
National certification require
5-7 Years of experience coordinating services in an ambulatory setting
Requires a minimum of three to five years management experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a large physician practice, or health services setting.
