To provide clinical social work services, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments/reassessments, facilitate patient/family care conferences, staff debriefings, discharge planning for high risk patients, information/referral and is part of the multi-disciplinary team for the patients served at Eden Medical Center including occasional drop-ins from the community. Populations served are: newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatric patients and their families.Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Minimum Experience: Prefer a minimum of 1-2 years experience in an acute care setting.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or license eligible and registers as an Associate Social Worker through the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) within six months of employment.
Courses/Training/Knowledge: Abuse, domestic violence, end-of-life and other significant regulations affecting clinical social work practice. Must have working knowledge of services for teen parents and other mom/baby high risk needs. Knowledge of community resources for patient population served by the medical center. Must have excelled customer service and service recovery skills. Excellent imitative, communication and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal & problem solving skills. Knowledge of issues, ethics & regulations pertinent to social work.
