SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-BayPosition Overview:
Shapes and supports the advancement of Sutter Health’s health equity vision and strategy as a member of Sutter Health’s Institute for Advancing Health Equity’s Leadership Team which sits within the Quality and Safety division. Serves as the system subject matter expert in maternal and birth equity for Sutter Health, and identifies specific target populations and geographic communities to address identified health inequities and needs.Provides leadership and support to health equity program development, maintenance, and operations aimed at promoting improved health outcomes for gaps identified in perinatal settings, to align with one of Sutter’s key executive priorities: excellence in quality, safe and equitable care.
Implements activities necessary to complete projects, including development of action plans, workload assignments, and staff development. Plans and leads multiple projects that advance Sutter’s not-for-profit mission with partners.
This is a hybrid role with both work from home and onsite requirements.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Bachelor's: Health Related Field, Public Policy, or related field
- Masters preferred
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of the Sutter Health system and/or other health care organizations is required.
- Proven skills in research design, methodology, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Basic understanding of the community benefit function in a not for profit health care organization is required.
- Diplomacy, interpersonal and communication/presentation skills (both written and verbal) are required.
- Demonstrated ability to positively engage internal and external contacts as well as handle confidential information appropriately is required.
- Customer service focus, professional presence and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- MS Office proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook (including folders, electronic mail and calendaring features) is required.

Pay Range is $65.81 to $98.71 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
